The month of June for the Sid Miller Dance Band has been an exciting one of traveling to cities and venues that are new to us!
On June 6, we did a fund raising event in Middleburgh, Virginia for an international organization entitled, The Wild Foundation (www.wild.org). They are involved in world-wide wilderness conservation and wilderness protection. About 300 guests attended the gala including one of my favorite actors, Robert Duvall, as well as many political dignitaries from Virginia and Washington D.C.
On June 13, we traveled to Cambridge, Maryland to perform at Scot and Laura’s wedding reception, which took place at the hotel-resort, The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. The hotel was located on the beach, and it was magnificent! Scot and Laura and their guests and family had a great time, and so did we!
